Privacy
Updated — 2026-09-07
This privacy policy describes how Oldschool Waves, operated by Nathan Guillaume (self-employed natural person), collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit the oldschoolwaves.be website or the online shop shop.oldschoolwaves.be.
01 — Data controller
The data controller is Nathan Guillaume. You can contact us with any question about your data through the contact form on the site.
02 — Data collected
We collect information in two situations: when you place an order on the online shop, and when you write to us from a form on the site.
- Identity
- First name and surname.
- Contact
- Email address (to follow up on your orders).
- Delivery
- Postal address (required for the physical shipping of your vinyl orders).
- Forms
- The content of your message, and whatever you add in the form fields: phone number for contact; artist, type of event, date and place for booking.
- Technical
- The IP address a form is sent from. It is not collected by Oldschool Waves: it is recorded by Web3Forms and used for the spam filtering described in section 03.
03 — Contact and booking forms
The site's two forms pass the information you enter to Web3Forms, a third-party service that delivers it by email to Oldschool Waves. Web3Forms acts as a processor.
The form fields are what gets sent: your name, email address and message, your phone number if you provide one, and for a booking request the artist concerned, the type of event, and the date and place you have in mind. This information is only used to reply to you: no account is created, and nothing is added to a mailing list.
The Oldschool Waves account uses the Web3Forms spam filter. To sort submissions, that filter passes on to two specialised services, CleanTalk and Akismet, the email address entered in the form and the IP address the submission is sent from. Those two services therefore receive that information as well.
Submissions are kept for one year, then deleted automatically. That period is a setting of the Oldschool Waves account: Web3Forms applies a maximum period of its own, a longer one, which this setting shortens. During that time submissions remain visible from the account dashboard.
Web3Forms is published by Web3Creative, a company established in India. The service relies on Amazon Web Services for hosting, the database and the sending of emails, and on Cloudflare and Hetzner. Delivering your messages therefore involves a transfer of data outside the European Union; Web3Creative states that it covers such transfers with the Standard Contractual Clauses.
04 — Purposes of processing
Your personal data is collected and processed for the management, processing and shipping of your orders on the online shop, and to reply to the messages you send us from the forms on the site. It is used for nothing else.
05 — Hosting and infrastructure
The oldschoolwaves.be website is hosted by OVHcloud (registered office: 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France). OVHcloud acts as a processor for technical hosting and undertakes to comply with security standards in line with the GDPR.
The site itself is static and holds no database. Order data is processed by the online shop shop.oldschoolwaves.be, which has its own database, also hosted by OVHcloud.
Messages sent from the forms on the site do not go through this infrastructure: they are delivered by Web3Forms, a second processor, described in section 03.
06 — Cookies and trackers
The oldschoolwaves.be website sets no cookies of its own and uses no audience measurement tool. Cookies that may be set during your visit come from the third-party content described below.
The only item stored by your browser is a technical session flag, whose sole purpose is to avoid replaying the intro animation from one page to the next. It disappears when the tab is closed and allows no identification.
The Label page embeds SoundCloud players (w.soundcloud.com). These players are provided by SoundCloud and may set third-party cookies on your device as soon as they load. Those cookies fall under SoundCloud's privacy policy.
The About us page embeds YouTube videos (www.youtube.com). These players are provided by YouTube and may set third-party cookies on your device as soon as they load — but they only load when you click a thumbnail to start a video. As long as you do not start a video, no request is sent to YouTube and no YouTube cookie is set. Those cookies fall under Google's privacy policy.
Finally, if your browser does not run JavaScript, submitting a form takes you to the Web3Forms site, which displays the confirmation there: you then receive the technical cookies of their firewall. With JavaScript active this does not happen — the message is sent without leaving the page and without any cookie.
07 — Intellectual property and copyright
